Stump Removal New Smyrna Beach
After a tree cutting procedure or when a tree falls down unexpectedly, its stump might be left behind. The stump is the bottom-most part of the tree that’s attached to its roots underground. Because the stump is usually firmly placed below the soil along with strong and long roots, it doesn’t easily come with the tree after cutting. In this case, stump removal may be necessary.

However, not all property owners remove stumps from their property. Especially when they cut the tree on their own or if the tree has fallen down on its own, some would choose to leave the stumps behind. In fact, there are many who would repurpose these stumps. They would treat it and turn them into seats in the yard, others would use it as a perfect spot to chop wood. Some would even decorate these stumps with new plants especially when the stump left behind remains clean and smooth.

You may now ask yourself - should you remove or leave behind the tree stump you have in your property? Here are some factors that give you a reason to call for stump removal service.

1. The stump is an obstruction in your property.

We’re not just pertaining to the obstruction of the view or the overall beauty of your garden, stumps may get in the way as you clean your surroundings. For instance, if you use a lawn mower to cut down grass, then you would have to find your way around the stump all the time every time you pass by it.

2. The stump can be a cause of insect infestation.

Some insects like feeding on decaying wood. It’s highly possible for that stump in your garden to be infested by insects. Not only will the be dangerous to humans in your property, the insects may move on to your other plants and destroy them.

3. The stump can cause accidents.

When you have kids running around your property or if you always find yourself strolling across your garden, the stump may cause you to trip and have an accident. It is best removed so you have flat and even ground.

These are only some of the reasons stumps should be removed. There’s no rule that says you should remove stumps, but there are also many benefits of having them out of your property. It cost a little bit extra, but I always encourage the grind the stump and finish the job that way. This way you never have to worry about it.
